WOODLEY & DISTRICT U3A: MEMBERSHIP
Woodley & District U3A warmly welcomes any person:-
Woodley & District U3A is one of over 1,000 UK-wide U3As and is part of the Thames Valley Network of U3As. As of January 2024, we currently have some 320 members and 60+ interest and activity groups that members can join, subject to space availability. (See Groups page for the full list of our groups).
BENEFITS OF JOINING OUR U3A
All members are eligible to take part in our core activities as well as attend events and be involved in projects throughout the Thames Valley, i.e.
HOW TO JOIN
Come along to one of our Wednesday monthly meetings or social afternoons (see Diary page), fill out a membership form and pay our annual membership fee. Before joining, Paula Dove, our Membership Secretary, or one of our committee members, will be happy to answer any questions and to provide additional information where required.
A membership form is also available on this website which can be printed from the form webpage (click on link below). Please send the completed form to:

Payment of the membership fee is by BACS transfer (details provided on the membership form). Please note that cheques can only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
MEMBERSHIP FEE
The Annual Membership fee is £12.00 which covers the period 1 April 2023 - 31 March, 2024. From 1 April 2024-31 March 2025, the annual fee will be £12.
Your membership fee includes a fee paid to our national organisation - the Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits for members, including liability insurance cover.
RENEWALS
In February/March each year, all members will receive a written reminder to pay their annual membership fee by 31 March.
Where membership fees have not been received by 31 March, membership will be deemed as lapsed.
Please note, only members are able to join groups and will be required to provide their membership number when applying to join a group.

receive, if required, copies of the Third Age National Magazine each year and have access to the online Educational Journal of the U3A |

attend Thames Valley Network U3A summer schools, organised study days and 'Shared Learning' Projects with focus on such topics as History, Drama, Music and Photography (click on Thames Valley Network Link below for further information). |
We encourage and support any members who would like to start their own group to share their interests, skills and knowledge.
